Texas Home Visiting

The Texas Home Visiting program helps good people become great parents. This free program for soon-to-be-parents and those with children under the age of five matches Dallas and Collin County families with a trained home visitor—a nurse, experienced parent, trained professional or volunteer—to answer questions, offer advice, provide support and teach parents how to prepare their kids for kindergarten.

Results & Impact

Since 2012:


Over 3,000 families have been positively affected


In 2017, 540 families received individualized, evidence-based home visiting services


of participating families increased time spent on parent-child interaction

Texas Home Visiting is a Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) Program funded by:
The Department of Family and Protective Services with matching funds from United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.
