Social Innovation Incubator

The Social Innovation Incubator invests human, social and financial capital in early-stage (discovery and experimentation stages) entrepreneurs in the social innovation sector. The program is designed for entrepreneurs who have experienced systemic racial and gender inequities and who strive to drive impact in education, income and health in North Texas.

The Incubator provides organizational and leadership development and seeks to correct historical opportunity and resource gaps, as well as systemic racial and gender inequities, in North Texas’ social innovation sector. The program includes personalized mentorship and a learning platform that guides participants through the process of developing a validated business plan.

The Social Innovation Incubator collaborates closely with three talented community partners—Dallas College, Southern Methodist University and eqALL—that support, invest in and provide resources to North Texas social entrepreneurs.

Dallas College provides full access to an entrepreneurial community with their new Dallas College Venture Club. SMU’s MADI Program brings to the Incubator a unique approach to human-centered design, teaching methods and techniques for creative problem solving and business development, while eqALL steers the program’s strategic processes to drive connection and access to resources.
