Targeted Eviction Prevention Program

This innovative pilot program provides comprehensive case management to Southern Dallas families to prevent evictions and therefore prevent students from having to change schools.

In alignment with our Homeless Prevention and Intervention Initiative—which provides a continuum of services to address the complex income-related challenges that often result in homelessness—TEPP positively impacts housing and education for families in Southern Dallas.

TEPP provides comprehensive eviction case management and access to various resources, such as legal assistance, to hundreds of families, with a goal of preventing evictions. By keeping families in their homes, the program aims to prevent mid-year student moves and encourage stability and continuity in children’s education.

The Targeted Eviction Prevention Program is a partnership of:

  • Carter’s House
  • CPAL
  • CitySquare
  • Dallas Independent School District
  • For Oak Cliff
  • Harmony CDC
  • TR Hoover CDC
  • United Way of Metropolitan Dallas
