North Texas Summer & Supper Council

The North Texas Summer & Supper Council works to ensure every child has access to healthy meals during the summer. The program provides vital support for hard-working families who rely on federal nutrition programs during the school year—which in some local school districts accounts for nearly 90% of all students.

Texas has one of the lowest rates of summer meals participation in the country, ranking 48th in reaching qualifying families. The North Texas Summer & Supper Council works to reach more families by enabling local meal providers to raise awareness of their services, increase meal sites and more effectively address child hunger in our community.
