Read With Me

An early literacy initiative designed to increase reading rates by directly engaging families, encouraging community involvement and improving access to age-appropriate, culturally responsive books.

Read With Me directly supports United Way’s Aspire United 2030 goal to increase by 50% the number of local third graders reading on grade level by the year 2030.

How We Drive Impact

Through Read With Me, we partner with schools, organizations and families to encourage positive reading experiences for children in the home and across North Texas. Program components include:

  • Community Storytimes
  • Virtual Storytimes
  • Little Free Libraries
  • Lantern, a text-based community resource tool for families
