Women of Tocqueville Fund for Women and Children

In 2017, the Women of Tocqueville launched an endowment fund with the United Way Foundation of Metropolitan Dallas to provide support to North Texas women and children in perpetuity.

The Women of Tocqueville Fund for Women and Children has raised more than $16 million to deliver targeted financial and skill-based investments in the areas of education, income and health—the building blocks of opportunity—for local women and children.

Mission

To provide targeted financial and skill-based investments in the areas of education, income and health for North Texas women and children.

Vision

An equitable economic environment in which all women and children can achieve financial security.

Supporting Women Entrepreneurs

To date, the Fund for Women and Children has invested in two impactful ventures:

LiftFund Women’s Business Center

With a $50,000 investment from the Women of Tocqueville Fund for Women and Children, and a $50,000 match from Comerica Bank, LiftFund will provide microloans to female entrepreneurs in the city’s southern sector so they can successfully grow their small businesses.

The United Way Social Innovation Incubator

With a $75,000 investment from the Women of Tocqueville Fund, this innovative program supports early-stage social ventures led and staffed by women and people of color who are working to implement new solutions in the areas of education, income, and health.
