School / Teacher Grant

Students learn best in environments where they feel safe, inspired and free to explore and learn. Toyota and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas have developed this grant to support and sustain positive climates for schools within the Pinkston feeder pattern.

Eligible schools: Pinkston High School, Quintanilla Middle School, Gabe Allen Elementary School, Arcadia Park Elementary School, DeZavala Elementary School, Jesús Moroles Expressive Arts Vanguard, Martinez Elementary School, Stevens Park Elementary School, C.F. Carr Elementary School

Grants will cover the following projects/needs:

  • Classroom/building beautification and updates that improve esthetics
  • Technology (hardware) that improves efficiencies, access, and learning opportunities
  • Professional Development that improves teachers’ ability to impact student learning
  • Technology (software) that fosters academic improvement
  • Curriculum and/or innovative initiatives that drive and/or support learning outcomes
  • Creating experiential opportunities for students such as field trips

Application requirements:

  • Project must align with district priorities/protocols
  • Must be approved by school Principal
  • A project report will be required (success stories, photos, quotes, etc.)
