Join us at Reading Day presented by EY on March 3 for one of our most exciting and impactful volunteer events of the year!

Reading Day presented by EY is a unique opportunity to inspire thousands of North Texas children with a love of reading—which is the gateway to education. This year, volunteers will read to more than 7,000 preschool and elementary-aged scholars across 18 campuses, sharing engaging books that highlight the beauty of diversity and friendship.

Education opens doors, broadens horizons and sets kids up for success. When kids have the skills they need to succeed in school—like reading at grade level—it empowers them to thrive at every stage.
Kids who enter school ready to learn are more likely to read proficiently by 3rd grade.
Students who read on grade level by third grade are 5x more likely to graduate ready for success in college or career.
College graduates can earn $36,000 more a year, enabling them to save for the future.
Financially stable adults can access quality health care for themselves and their families.

Together, we’re strengthening education, income and health—the building blocks of opportunity—and setting North Texas students up for successful futures. Join us.

Through our Once Upon a Month program, a $36 gift can provide a child with one book a month for a whole year.
