For many young North Texans, college is a gateway to a good-paying job and access to quality healthcare. With programs like Dollars for College, we make it easier for low-income students to save for college—which makes them 3x more likely to attend college and 4x more likely to graduate.

Access to healthcare coverage enables North Texans to live longer, healthier lives and affects everything from how well a student does in school to how successful an adult is in their career. With initiatives like Healthcare Navigators, we make health coverage more accessible and more affordable for a greater share of our neighbors.

Across our region, many people of color face barriers to quality healthcare that most of their white counterparts have never experienced. Improving health equity is key to achieving our goal of achieving near-universal health insurance coverage in North Texas.
