Volunteer for the Community Impact Grant Process
At United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, volunteers play a vital role in our Community Impact Grant (CIG) process.
By joining us as a CIG volunteer, you will help us determine which community organizations receive vital grant funding that fuels their work in North Texas. This is a unique opportunity for you to assist United Way in driving transformative change and advancing equity in the areas of education, income and health.
Volunteer applications are due by Jan. 10, 2025.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Attend trainings and decision-making meetings
- Read and evaluate applications submitted by nonprofit organizations
- Participate in discussions about applicants
- Make virtual and/or in-person site visits to organizations that have applied for a grant
- Serve as an ambassador and advocate for United Way in the community
In the spring of 2025, volunteers will have the opportunity to rejoin United Way for our mid-cycle monitoring process where each grantee is visited by returning CIG volunteers and United Way staff.
