That’s a wrap!
The United Way 2019 Stock the School event presented by Mr. Cooper helped set both students and teachers up for success as they headed into the new school year.
The event was comprised of two parts: an online donation drive and an in-person volunteer opportunity to stock and beautify a local elementary school campus.
Thanks to 73 volunteers and more than 650 online donations valued at almost $10,000, approximately 727 Pre-K through 5th grade students and 80 faculty or staff members were able to start the school off with fresh supplies and spruced-up facilities. Volunteers revitalized areas of the school for a refreshed and positive learning environment, including remodeling teacher workspaces, painting and cleaning shared spaces, assembling and installing updated décor, and more.
A positive learning environment is one way we as a community can put opportunity in the hands of local students—and all North Texans. When our students graduate ready to succeed in college or a career, it increases the chances they go on to live healthy, financially stable lives—and we all win. This is what it looks like to Live United.
Volunteers, let us know what you thought!
