The 2020-2021 Women of Tocqueville Steering Committee held their annual planning retreat on August 27 to kick start the new year.
The 18-member committee seeks to create an inclusive network of leaders aligned to Give, Advocate and Volunteer in support of the community through United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, and to leverage the collective power and leadership of women to generate visible impact in education, income and health in North Texas. Building on the momentum of past years, our committee continues to focus on recruiting, engaging, connecting and retaining our membership to collaborate and collectively produce visible impact in our North Texas community. This year we plan to:
Expand our reach through new opportunities and virtual/digital platforms
Create initiatives to align and support United Way Aspire United 2030 Goals
Activate steering committee alumni as resources to mentor, advise and advocate
Additionally, we will continue to focus on raising awareness and funds for the Women of Tocqueville Fund for Women and Children to make a lasting change for women and children in need. The steering committee is busy working on volunteer and community impact events, social and networking opportunities, as well as professional and educational sessions to be scheduled and announced throughout the year as dates are solidified.
This month we are pleased to present a Professional Development Session – Removing “Should” from your Vocabulary: The Game Changer for Business – featuring Pamela Harless, Collective Confidence, and hosted by Dee Brown, EY-Parthenon.
