Since the coronavirus swept area fundraising efforts into oblivion, Communities Foundation of Texas and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, along with The Dallas Foundation, organized this mammoth undertaking to not only help North Texas nonprofits, but to make the process to get help as easy as possible.

Thanks to a flotilla of North Texas’ leading foundations and area United Ways, a three-pronged program has been created to help area 501(c)3 organizations secure emergency funding:

  • Participating funders are working collaboratively to collect emergency funding requests.
  • A common online application has been created, so nonprofits don’t have to fill out dozens of applications in their search for emergency funding.
  • On a weekly basis, applications will be evaluated with the participating funders deciding if funding is possible.

Among the first grants made were ones for CitySquare, Catholic Charities, The Family Place and Austin Street Shelter.

So, drop everything and get that application in the works now!
