Dear Women of Tocqueville friends,
It is my honor to be returning as Women of Tocqueville Chair for this upcoming 2018-2019 year. I would also like to take a moment to acknowledge the members of this year’s Women of Tocqueville Steering Committee. These are the boots on the ground leaders who are working tirelessly to make sure we are making continual progress toward our mission to create an inclusive network of women leaders aligned to give, advocate and volunteer in support of the community through the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas.

We are kicking off this year with an event ten years in the making. The Women of Tocqueville 10th Anniversary celebration will take place on September 28 with a special evening at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. The evening will include a cocktail hour, dinner and an after-party following the program.
Together, we will celebrate Lyda Hill with the presentation of the J. Erik Jonsson Award, United Way’s highest volunteer honor. In addition to being a long-time supporter of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Lyda was instrumental in creating United Way’s process for evaluating and assessing community investments. She continues to make an impact improving the community here in our city. We are thrilled to have this opportunity to honor her.
Please make sure you mark your calendar, and dust off your dancing shoes.
On behalf of the entire Women of Tocqueville Steering Committee, we look forward to another wonderful year building on the momentum we have created over the last ten years creating a stronger North Texas community for generations to come.
