A Holiday message from Linda Yohe

Linda Yohe Christmas Headshot
Season’s Greetings to the Mighty, Mighty Women of Tocqueville!

With the holiday season upon us, I want to take time to wish you all immense joy, peace, good health and cheer. December marks the end of “quite a year” to say the least, and it seems only appropriate that in spite of the pandemic we take a moment to reflect on how truly blessed and fortunate we are.

Thanks to all of you, our Mighty, Mighty Women of Tocqueville, for making a difference this year in the lives of so many in the North Texas community. I feel honored and grateful to be part of such a caring and civic minded group. I want to also express my gratitude to the 2020-2021 Women of Tocqueville Steering Committee who through their generous support and leadership have created an extraordinary series of events and opportunities this past 6 months – mental health panel, professional development series, high school mentoring, book group discussions, plus virtual social networking —all in the spirit of enhancing our WOT experience. Their generosity, commitment and courageous kindness are much appreciated as we strive to make this virtual interactive world more meaningful and more connected.

And in the spirit of the holidays, I want to encourage you all to join us for our WOT JOY! Event, a special celebration and virtual holiday shopping experience hosted by Neiman-Marcus on Wednesday December 9th. Donations for attending the event will go towards our upcoming January virtual baby shower for expecting mothers in need here in North Texas. Plus, don’t miss the opportunity to get a discount on some of your holiday shopping as well as a chance to win one of our great prizes in the drawing that evening – you must be virtually present to win! (See the newsletter for more details about these two special events)

And the good news is our Steering Committee has only just begun to spread the joy and fulfill our mission to support United Way’s Aspire United 2030 Goals. The 2021 calendar is full of some stellar events you’ll not want to miss including our ever-popular Lunch with Legislators in January and our Most Generous/Next Generation event in the spring.

Thanks again for stepping up and making 2020 most memorable in so many ways. And my very best wishes to you and yours for a happy holiday season.

Many Blessings,

Linda Yohe
Chair, 2020-2021 Women of Tocqueville Steering Committee
