The Pitch Recap

At The Pitch presented by AT&T, five social entrepreneurs took the stage to pitch their bold ideas to strengthen education, income and health in North Texas. Finalists competed for a total of $270,000 of prizes to fund their community impact. The 5th annual The Pitch is the culminating event of our Social Innovation Accelerator in collaboration with Accenture, a program that provides entrepreneurs with the critical resources—funding, mentorship, and community connections — to accelerate the growth and stability of their ventures.

WINNERS

Cornbread Hustle also won the Entrepreneurial Spirit Award presented by the Satori Foundation, the Impact Award presented by Toyota, the Innovation Award presented by the United Way March Tocqueville Fellows, and the Presentation Award presented by United Way Teens United.

Additionally, all finalists took home $25,000 for making it to The Pitch competition.

Health Innovation Tech Challenge

United Way is launching a social innovation competition with $1 million in prizes to identify, elevate, and activate transformative solutions to community health challenges across North Texas. We are seeking technology-fueled approaches to increase access to preventive care and improve social, emotional wellness and mental health.
