In Dallas, a group of unstoppable women are working to ensure the future of the city they love.
This dynamic group of women — made up of women leaders from all sectors — believe in working together to create positive, long-term change.
Women of Tocqueville members volunteer as youth mentors, meet with Texas legislators about improving child care standards, travel to Washington, D.C. to advocate on Capitol Hill, and much more. They embrace every moment — every opportunity — to empower people in our community to better their lives.

Women of Tocqueville Fund for Women and Children
In honor of their 10th anniversary, Women of Tocqueville members established the Women of Tocqueville Fund for Women and Children. This fund, within the United Way Foundation of Metropolitan Dallas, provides critical assistance for North Texas women and children in need in perpetuity.
Contributions to the fund also count toward the $100 million Unite Forever campaign, launched in 2015 by United Way Foundation of Metropolitan Dallas to secure ongoing support for United Way’s work in the community today and in the future.
The Women of Tocqueville Fund for Women and Children will provide an annual distribution to United Way of Metropolitan Dallas for programs that empower women and children in our community with a focus on such areas as:
- Educating mothers on the importance of early learning.
- Encouraging children to explore careers in STEM.
- Providing children opportunities to learn and grow after school and in the summer months.
- Protecting women and children from violence.
- Ensuring women have access to necessary and preventive health care services.
- Empowering women with the job skills they need to support their families.
We are well on our way to our initial $10 million goal with more than $8 million raised to date. We hope you will join us to be part of a lasting legacy in support of women and children in our community.
