Developed in partnership with the Dallas Regional Chamber, the Future Focus Camp serves 60 Dallas area high school students for two weeks each June. During this annual, all-day camp experience, students will be guided through job readiness content, learn from guest speakers, engage in small group work and panel discussions, tour a local college campus, and earn community service hours.

On five of the 10 program days, students will attend field trips to different corporate headquarters throughout North Texas where they can see the vast array of jobs available in various industries, enabling them to discover the real-world importance of skills they are developing.

• Cost: FREE (breakfast & lunch included each day)

• Dates: Week One: June 10 – 14 (Monday-Friday), and Week Two: June 17 – 21 (Monday-Friday). Students attend both weeks.

• Time: 9 AM – 2 PM daily

• Age: High School sophomores and juniors (grade in school year 2018 – 2019)

Results & Impact

• Since 2014, 2,000 students have participated in the Future Focus College and Career Expo and 300 volunteers facilitated workshops and led discussions.

• Since 2016, 110 select students have participated in Future Focus Camp. 93% identified a career to pursue as a result.

• After participating in mock interviews, 95% of Future Focus camp students felt comfortable interviewing for a job.
