PepsiCo products are enjoyed by many, but our efforts lift up the community.

Join us as we partner with United Way to help North Texans in need.

PepsiCo has a long history of helping others and supporting our local communities. And now, partnering with United Way, we can do even more. Our Southern Dallas Thrives initiative:

• Prepares kids for kindergarten
• Provides healthy meals to the communities in need
• Prepares high school students for college or a career
• Creates new career opportunities in the community

United Way calls it Treating 360 Degrees of Need. We just call it the right thing to do.

PepsiCo’s 2018 Day of Caring was October 25, 2018. See pictures from the event.

My family and I love being a part of the South Dallas community. We have so many generous, uplifting and passionate neighbors with a genuine desire to overcome the disparity in opportunity for many South Dallas residents. When I heard about Southern Dallas Thrives, I could not wait to get involved. I know that with the right level of support and investment in creating long-term opportunities by Frito-Lay and the PepsiCo Foundation, the people of South Dallas will be a critical component of both the community and PepsiCo’s ability to thrive for years to come.

Southern Dallas Thrives is a joint effort between PepsiCo and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas that will invest more than $2 million to provide vital programs to the community.

Within 3 to 5 years, we hope to:

Food for Good

Serve one million meals through Food for Good in the next 5 years. This program provides kids with summer meals and activities that feed the body and soul.

First Five

Increase kindergarten readiness by 10%, and provide 200 mothers with the opportunity to enter the workforce through First Five. This program gives kids a great start in life, by providing children up to age 5 with fun, stimulating childcare that’s both affordable and conveniently located.

South Oak Cliff Collegiate Academy

Help 85% of South Oak Cliff High School students graduate college or career ready through tutoring and mentoring efforts at South Oak Cliff Collegiate Academy. This is a tuition free program that helps students earn a high school diploma and up to 60 college credit hours or an Associate of Applied Science degree in four years.
