Markus faithfully served in the US Army. So when he needed help, we came with reinforcements.
Markus was a homeless, jobless veteran suffering from PTSD. He moved to Dallas to get treatment through the Dallas Veterans Administration, arriving with nothing but $50 and three sacks of clothes. Then he found Achieve—funded in part by United Way—an organization that helps veterans with disabilities find long-term employment. What more, it helps them win the battle here at home to get back to healthy, productive lives.
Markus now has a full-time job, a place to live and hopes to finish his college degree.
