FOR INDIVIDUALS

Why should you give to #GiveBigDFW on #GivingTuesday?
#GivingTuesday is a global giving movement where you can show your support for nonprofits in your community. This year, it falls on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, and we’re encouraging everyone in the DFW area to get involved in #GiveBigDFW on #GivingTuesday by donating, volunteering and spreading the word to raise awareness for your favorite local nonprofits (United Way included!).

About #GivingTuesday

Celebrated on the Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday is an opportunity for local organizations to raise funds and awareness for our community. On November 27, 2018, we’re teaming up with United Way of Tarrant County and United Way of Denton County to host #GiveBigDFW, our local response to #GivingTuesday, and we need your help to earn DFW the title of Most Generous Community in America!

On #GivingTuesday, we’re rallying the whole Dallas Fort Worth region together for #GiveBigDFW to show the nation (and world!) how much we care about our community.

Here are a few ways you can take action on #GivingTuesday

Take the pledge to get involved on #GivingTuesday!

When you give to United Way, your dollars do more. Instead of addressing just one issue like homelessness, we treat 360 degrees of need in the areas of education, income and health—the essential components of a thriving community.

2017 Impact

Last year, the greater Dallas area mobilized to raise funds and encourage volunteerism in our community. More than 200 nonprofit organizations helped us raise over $22 million dollars and log more than 485,000 hours of service by volunteers. Let’s keep the momentum going to earn DFW the title of Most Generous Community in America in 2018!
“We are committed to tell the story to the rest of the country in honor of #GivingTuesday. So we ask that you give big: give from your wallet, from your heart, with resources, with your actions. We want to encourage North Texans to do what they do best – help others in creative and meaningful ways.”
